February 16, 2011

The Banco de Mexico last year released a 100 peso and 200 peso polymer bank note commemoratives honoring either the 100th Anniversary of the Revolution and 200th Anniversary of Independence.

This year the bank has released a paper substrate circulating 100 peso regular issue featuring Nezahualcoyotl, the same person honored on the previous group of paper 100 peso notes.

The new 500 Peso paper note honors Diego Rivera.

This now makes circulating polymer 20, 50 peso notes and paper 100, 200 and 500 peso notes.
