This week's featured coin is a 500 forint from the Hungarian Mint featuring the theme of the Rubik's Cube.
The Rubik's Cube is a 3-D mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian professor Erno Rubik. According to the website Wikipedia, as of January 2009, 350 million puzzles have sold worldwide, making it the world's top selling toy.
The obverse of the coin features an inscription of the mint and denomination on a Rubik's cube design, while the reverse shows a 3-D image of a cube.
