Eagle Sales at July Level|
November 04, 2013
A rebound in sales of gold American Eagle one-ounce coins had by late October nearly reached July levels.
On Oct. 29, the Mint reported it had sold 39,000 to its Authorized Purchasers during the month, just 4,000 fewer than the 43,000 sold in July.
Sales had dipped sharply in August and September to 9,000 and 8,500 pieces, respectively. April was the best month for sales so far in 2013 with 187,500 sold.
Rising Eagle sales have coincided with a bounce back in the price of gold bullion.
