Coin of the Year First Round Vote Starts|

Winners of the first round of balloting for Coin of the Year will be announced in the December issue of World Coin News, sister periodical to Numismatic News.
An international panel of judges was to select winners by a Nov. 10 deadline in each of 10 categories from a field of 99 contenders dated 2012.
The United States has two entries, the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park quarter and the Star-Spangled Banner silver dollar.
A second round of balloting will determine the Coin of the Year winner. The award will be given Feb. 8, 2014, at the World Money Fair in Berlin, Germany.
