Hi, something that I find very confusing.  The First Spouse E Monroe went down a bit.  The proofs went from 7924 to 7802 and the uncirculated went from 4510 to 4446.  Surely the mint did not have a bunch of returns come in all at once??

My guess is the decline in Elizabeth Monroe coin totals likely consists of more cancellations of unfulfilled orders instead of actual product returns.  The price swings each week make it more difficult to know when to buy, so some folks might place an order, then cancel it hoping the price will go down the next week.  Just my guess.

It looks like some of the First Spouse Uncirculated coins will come in with lower mintages than the 1997 Jackie Robinson Uncirculated coin.  Do you think those who bought them will be lauging all the way to the bank, or do you think no one will ultimately care about the low mintages?
