A tale of mystery and romance involving Charles K. Spencer, a wealthy American in London, who overhears two relatively poor women discussing the young girl’s dream of going to Switzerland. Charles plays "fairy godfather" and makes the girl’s dream come true, but a mysterious stranger named Mark Bower shadows the girl. What can he want?
